Trials
New studios start on a trial. Trials include multiple rooms — you can add rooms during a trial without upgrading.
Only expired trials and accounts with no active subscription are restricted to a single room. All other active tiers — including trial — can add multiple rooms.
Billing cadence
Plans are billed monthly or annually. Paying annually costs the equivalent of 10 months — two months free versus monthly billing.
Prices shown here are display prices. The amount you're charged is confirmed at checkout.
If your subscription or trial lapses
When your trial runs out, or a paid subscription ends — because you canceled it, or because Stripe's payment retries ran out — OneTake puts your account into a read-only state: you can still see your gear and data, but can't add or change anything until you're back on an active plan.
A banner appears across the app, and the wording depends on how you got there:
- Your trial ran out: "Your trial expired — Add a payment method and select a plan to continue."
- A paid subscription ended: "Your subscription ended — Reactivate your subscription to continue."
Both banners lead to the same place — Membership → Plan — where you pick (or re-pick) a plan. You can dismiss the banner for your current browser session, but it returns the next time you open the app until you upgrade or reactivate.
A canceled paid subscription is revoked right away — your account drops to the same read-only state as an expired trial as soon as Stripe confirms the cancellation, not on some later date.
Your billing history stays available either way — see Billing history.
If your account stays inactive
If you don't choose a plan (or reactivate) after your trial or subscription ends, OneTake eventually emails you a warning naming a deletion date: your inventory and account will be permanently deleted unless you act. You can still export a full copy of your data at any time before that happens, even while your account is read-only — see Exporting your data.
If you still haven't acted, your account and gear inventory are permanently deleted — at the earliest 120 days after your account became read-only, and only once at least 29 days have passed since the warning email went out (so a late-sent warning pushes the deletion date back with it). Deletion runs through the same erasure process as a self-serve account deletion, so what's removed and what's kept follows the same rules — see What we delete and what we keep. Once it's done, OneTake emails you a final confirmation:
"As notified, your OneTake account and gear inventory have been permanently deleted, 120 days after your access ended. We keep only the billing records the law requires us to."
This automatic, inactivity-based deletion is a separate process from the self-serve account deletion you start yourself from Settings → Your Data — it runs on its own fixed schedule rather than on your signal, so it has no 7-day grace period or typed confirmation step. If you've already started deleting your account yourself, this automatic process leaves your request alone rather than acting on the account a second time.
Changing or canceling
You can change plans, cancel, or resume a canceled subscription from Membership → Plan. Manage how you pay under Payment methods.
If you trigger the subscription form many times in quick succession, further attempts are temporarily blocked as an anti-abuse safeguard. This won't affect normal use — just wait a short moment and try again.
